Laminectomy:

The Nurse Unit Manager of this ward has had 15 years’ experience in neurosurgery and is highly devoted to ensuring patient satisfaction and high-quality care experience.
The nursing staff take pride in their provision of individualised care and recovery. Staff are encouraged to attend ongoing training run both on and off site.

The multi-disciplinary team meet weekly to discuss each patient’s condition and care.
Allied health services provided, include physiotherapist, dieticians, speech therapy, social work, psychiatric liaison nurse, urology liaison nurse and wound specialists.

A daily meeting between the nursing staff and physiotherapist ensures the delivery of high quality physiotherapy services, exercise regime, continuing patient physical progression and keeping a focus on patient safety.
The multidisciplinary team provide patient education, spinal support, exercises and activities to avoid further spinal damage.
